śrī śrī vaiṣṇava-caraṇe daṇḍavat-nati pūrvikeyam –
I first of all offer my obeisances at the feet of the Vaiṣṇavas.

Ānanda, I received your letter timely. My bodily health is not good. I went to the hospital in Delhi for a check-up. Upon returning from there, I sent you a little money. If needed I will send you something from time to time.

Presently, I am thinking of going to Kolkata for treatment within next 8-10 days. Let’s see what happens. If possible, at the time of Śrī Ratha-yātrā, I will come to Navadvīpa and see you in person.

What you have written is true, but in happiness and distress, in dissent and calamity, in every situation, we have to call out, weeping, to Śrī Gurudeva, Śrī Gauracandra and Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa at every moment. If we are calling out to them sincerely, they will surely bestow their mercy.  However, we face obstacles in our calling out.

What else? How is Hari-priya? Reply by letter. Thus I conclude.

Vaiṣṇava-dāsānudāsa
